Southern Pines Electric Power Association
Entergy and Southern Pine Electric Power Association serve the electrical needs of Simpson County. Entergy and Southern Pine will furnish standard primary or secondary voltages (60 cycle AC). Line extensions to plant sites may be made without cost to industry.
Incentive Rate Program
To support Mississippi's economic development efforts, Entergy and Southern Pine offer incentive electricity pricing to new or existing manufacturing industries that make significant expansions in Simpson County. This incentive rate occurs in the form of a credit applied to the kilowatt hours associated with the new or expanded electrical load. To qualify, the new or added manufacturing load must meet or exceed qualifying requirements. These manufacturing customers are eligible for the incentive rate during their first four years of operation.

Natural Gas
Willmut Gas Company
Willmut Gas Company is the natural gas supplier for Simpson County. Wilmut Gas is a natural gas distributor based in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, that supplies gas to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. Willmut Gas Company is in its 66th year of operation. Willmut Gas started supplying natural gas to approximately 200 customers in Hattiesburg. Today, Willmut serves over 22,000 customers from Hattiesburg to Pearl, Mississippi. Willmut Gas is committed to ensuring the customer is provided with energy service that is safe, reliable and economical and to provide that service in a friendly manner responsible to customer needs.
Water and Sewer
Magee and Mendenhall obtain their water supply from municipally-owned wells. Magee has a system capacity of 3,168,000 gallons per day and a storage capacity of 650,000 gallons. Mendenhall's system capacity is 1,368,000 gallons per day and the storage is 250,000 gallons. Magee and Mendenhall utilize lagoons for sewage treatment. A garbage disposal system of sanitary landfills is used throughout the county.
